Released in the U.S. on September 1, 2024, the D35 opens up a world of possibilities by transforming any Cla-Val valve into a smart valve, without the need for an on-site power source.
What Sets the D35 Apart?
The original XP2F system (XP2F-X35) allowed operators to collect vital data on flow, pressure, and valve positioning, providing a deeper understanding of water usage and system performance. However, it required an on-site power source. The XP2F-D35, on the other hand, is battery-powered and provides communication via a cellular signal,* which means you can now bring smart functionality to even the most remote or off-grid valves in your system. The D35’s compatibility with 2G and 4G cellular networks from the majority of cell providers equips you with the maximum coverage possible.
By integrating with Cla-Val’s free Link2Valves software, operators can monitor their system, make adjustments via WiFi, and track key performance indicators such as flow and pressure, giving them the flexibility and control they need to fine-tune their system.
The D35 comes with four core components:

Cla-Box 10 (Cla-Val’s wiring junction box)
The D35 also features 2 digital input relays, allowing for expanded communication capabilities. This allows you to not only monitor flows, pressures, and valve position, but also add other sensors such as intrusion alarms, flood sensors, or even a limit switch on another valve.
Battery Options: The D35 comes with either an internal or larger external replaceable battery, each of which will last 2-7 years depending on usage. If you have access to a power source like solar or micro-turbines, the D35 can also be powered by external DC power.
